2024-04-09 01:06:45 +0000 UTCBlade runner is terrific. It set the "template" for what a modern, gritty Sci-Fi movie should be. The visuals have really aged beautifully. Additionally, it has a lot of powerful philosophical themes regarding the ideas of life and existence.

2024-04-08 14:05:39 +0000 UTCAnother Johnathan Demme! He directed Philadelphia and Silence of the Lambs. Known for those amazing close ups where the actor is looking right at the camera (at us, the audience) the Lambs is very psychological and some scenes are gruesome just FYI.
