It’s hilarious and surprisingly poignant. And the male star, Steven Yeun, proves that being killed off in The Walking Dead was the best thing that could have happened to his career.

I stopped reading the comics only because I wanted to explore the show through the reactions I make. I agree that it has a lot in there that will make for good commentary and reactions. I look forward to watching it

2024-04-09 01:23:08 +0000 UTCI would love to see the walking dead reactions, in my opinion it makes for great commentary, debates, and reactions throughout the series. I think people who have negative opinions towards it after certain seasons is because the main show was on tv for over a decade and much rather binge short series or don't like seeing tv shows evolve. It my experience people who turn away at some story lines forget that those were in the comics and others forget that it won't always be a direct adaptation to the comic as well. I have also found that those getting to react to it now consistently instead of waiting like we had to when it was on TV find it keeps a great momentum. I started watching TWD when I was 8...I am 21 now, it has been my all-time favorite series by far. I hope if not now, one day you decide to watch it.

Jason Bateman is in it and I wasn't quite ready to see him in a non-comedic role yet. It has an 8.5 though so I'll definitely give it a binge at some point. Maybe with you. 😊

Everybody has told me to stop at season 4 if I do watch it. I have also read a bunch of chapters from the comics it's based on. I'm really excited to check out how the TV show adapts it Of all you mentioned, I have seen Breaking Bad, Rome, and Game of Thrones. Band of Brothers has been recommended a lot. But yeah these other shows you mentioned are great and I've heard good things about them in the past. And I absolutely love The Last of Us. The games and the TV show. Season 2 is about to be wild

2024-03-27 18:26:04 +0000 UTCPlease don't watch The Walking Dead. Watch transformative television like Breaking Bad, Band of Brothers, West Wing, Lost, Sopranos, M*A*S*H, et al. These have their reason for being in the pantheon, but there are others: HBO's Rome and Carnivale. I deliberately left out Game of Thrones for the same reason I wouldn't recommend Walking Dead: it doesn't continue/end as amazingly as it begins. Walking Dead has such a fantastic premise, but it fizzles out after 3-4 seasons. GoT is just awful after the books run out of prescriptive material. If you want the best of the Walking Dead, watch The Last of Us.
