It always amazes me how much weight Donnie Wahlberg lost to do the role of the patient in the beginning of the movie in the restroom.

Thanks for mentioning and appreciating how I approach these characters💛 I think the older I got, and the more I learned about mental health and trauma, the kinder I was in analyzing people and their struggles. Because a lot of things stem from previous traumas. I definitely see where you’re coming from and I think I agree. I cant speak for other artists, but I believe there’s something to be said about the creation of art and how it requires some level of emotional understanding. Of oneself as well as the message you’re trying to pass through their art. Which I think everyone has that capacity, not just the “artist” (that’s the art teacher in me talking)😄 I hope that response was satisfactory 🙏🏾

I really appreciate your sensitivity to and understanding of the different characters psychological struggles, in Forrest Gump and The Green Mile as well. In my experience, it seems like artists are usually more psychologically or emotionally aware. Is this something that you have noticed also?
