DRL Photography #10

Well, here we are!  The end of this multi-part feature on my photo shoot with DRL Photography from December, and what a journey it's been.

If it wasn't for the fact that Patreon limits uploads to 200 MB per ZIP file, and also because I didn't want to sacrifice the high resolution of these images, I probably could have gotten away with sharing the 80 total photos from this shoot in less than 10 separate posts.  Still, I hope you haven't minded me breaking this feature up into smaller, easier-to-digest (and download) bits over the last several weeks!

This was the first time I received so many amazing photos from a single shoot that I had difficulty narrowing it down to my favorites.  Typically, I'll get back around 100 to 200 files and cut those down to maybe 30 or 40 shots to share.

Following this shoot, Dan supplied me with over 500 photos and it was a daunting task to look through all of them!  With many of the shots being slight variations of a single pose, it was dizzying going back and forth trying to decide which photo I liked the most.  Pair that with the fact that I'm a perfectionist on a good day or downright picky on a bad one, and you definitely have a recipe for procrastination!

Luckily, I made it through and, in the end, I'm glad to have done such a deep dive on this photo shoot because Dan's work really deserves it.  With each shoot I participate in, I try to raise the bar in terms of professionalism as well as quality, and working with DRL Photography really did set a new standard for the aesthetic I hope to achieve going forward.

A special thank you to Dan for all his hard work and an even bigger thank you to everyone reading this for taking the time to appreciate my work and hopefully find the narrative that goes alongside it at least somewhat interesting.

I've still got the content from a third photo shoot that took place last December to share plus some new self-portraits in nature I took recently, so be sure to keep an eye out for a few new and exciting posts coming soon!

See below for a ZIP file of all 6 photos if you'd like to download them.

Have a great weekend!
