DRL Photography #6
Added 2023-05-03 03:15:31 +0000 UTCNow that I've finished sharing more than enough photos of me in bed, it's time to switch it up with shots featuring classic physique poses.
As I mentioned in my first post in this series, Dan of DRL Photography's portfolio mostly consists of physique photography of very muscular men. I'm not by any means a bodybuilder or even a professional model, so when Dan mentioned that he'd like to shoot a few classic poses after we finished with the series in bed, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to deliver the kind of visual aesthetic he was looking to achieve.
To be honest, I felt a little awkward initially with some of these flexing poses, because it's really not my style or representative of my personality in "real life." So, after we shot a few photos, I expressed this to Dan and we decided to switch to focusing more on classic, almost sculptural poses that I definitely felt more at ease with and enjoyed.
There have been a handful of artists that were inspired by my self-portraits to create artwork and I can see some of these photos doing the same or being good reference material for figure studies. If you're an artist and want to feature me in your art, I'd love to see what you create!
