The future of LASO, a new series, and more!

Hey lovely Patreon folks, I’m overdue on an update for Jamison Projects and we’ve decided on a handful of things that we think will be for the best despite a couple of them being a bit sad to admit defeat to. And the best way to commit to them it to make them public!

First, The Tower falls. In our seemingly never-ending effort to try and make YouTube like us we’re first deciding to kill off The Tower. This was never a popular series nor were the various forms the prior iterations took but we always loved chatting about new games and I know there was a small and passionate group that enjoyed listening. But they are very long and have no viewership which is bad for The Algorithm and, most importantly, we have been less and less interested in doing them because we’ve been less and less interested in playing new AAA games. So, The Tower will not be continuing. Whenever we want to discuss new stuff, we still have our little podcast which we will still be doing with our best bud Ben and, if anything, retiring this style of content from the channel will give us more to chat about on the podcast which is ultimately a good thing. This show was always a podcast with a video edit so now it’ll just be a podcast and Ben’ll be there!

Second, there are those who said this day would never come. I don’t want to get into it too much, but LASO has been an ongoing effort for the past 12 months and there is going to be another video. I am hoping for it to be out in August but cannot 100% promise anything right now because we still haven’t beaten the one fucking level we’ve been on for the last year. But it’s been a very good learning experience and our ultimate final lesson from this whole thing is that the LASO series is simply too much effort for us. So, after Chapter 2 of LASO (or whatever I end up calling it), the LASO series will be finished. It’s unfortunate but hey, we tried and we’re at least going to send it out with one more big video.

Third, to the stars. Beginning very soon, Joe and I are going to be doing a series where we play through every Destiny 2 raid. It’s less clean compared to Zombies since I have played a lot of the Destiny 2 raids and Joe and I have technically both played the original Vault of Glass and Crota’s End a literal decade ago, but I’ll cover that in the first video. Suffice it to say, there are 4 slots in every raid (a team of 6 total) that will need to be filled and you will be the ones filling those slots! Zombie Easter Eggs and Destiny Raids have a lot of common ideas between them, and I know there are a fair few of you who are also into Destiny so this should be a fun journey. There are currently 9 raids in the game and no new ones in sight for a long time, so we’ve got a nice, approachable end point. More details on this will come when we are ready to start gathering our first 4 Patreon Warriors for the fireteam, so stay tuned!

Fourth, a surprise to be sure but a welcome one. Joe and I got to see each other again and hang out for a few days. Ubisoft invited us to go and play Star Wars Outlaws last week and I will have a video on that in the future but there’ll be no early access due to embargo stuff, sorry about that, that’s just how these go. But it was a very fun little trip! We did Disneyland together and had a blast. Also, there was a video game but we can’t talk about it until [REDACTED].

Fifth, there is no five! Things feel good for us right now. My content lineup was feeling a bit messy the last while and often the best course of action when things are messy is to simplify, so we have and it’s for the best.
