If we go with the premise that this is an AU history where Merlin is 'bad' (tho seems crazy to me that Harry would still have a connection), then yes her blame is somewhat lessened. However, even then, if you think someone that powerful isn't capable of not knowing of what's to come then I find that unbelievable. Alternatively, if she's simply taken Harry to the past, then for me I kinda feel there's no point for Harry to go into the past other than to fulfill the Lady of the Lakes agenda.

2024-12-10 18:57:53 +0000 UTCflawed logic. she either knows the future (or possible future) and as such merlin "would" do something worde than Voldy if Harry wasnt brought back, or she doesnt know the future, in which case she doesnt know about the "awful years" and cant be blamed for it. In my opinion even if your premise is correct, a few years of voldemort is probably nothing compared to whatever myrddin would do if he had his way.
