2024-03-25 00:03:41 +0000 UTCI don't think we ever get to know Hoster very well from canon, but I'm surprised he would care so much about Jon being a bastard. As stated in the chapter, I see him more as an opportunist, and I would think that seeing Jon gaining more importance would make him want to be on good terms. But I guess you could be hardcore religious and an opportunist at the same time. I'm glad to see little Rhaenys getting some attention, and her own personal protector.

However, for me, your time travel au on ASOIF is missing a lot of what makes the books so great. Complex characters, great dialogue "power resides where men believe it resides & chaos is a ladder" and amazing villains that make the hero's payoff worthwhile. This story seems more like a season 8 alternative of the TV show rather than the books. Anyway, thank you for the chapter and I look forward to the next.
