I mean I thought is was hilarious to begin with that he thought he could stay out of all this mess to begin with when it was inevitable that he would cross paths with someone and end up involved.

Harry knows absolutely nothing about her before he came to the past, all he knew was that she died by Voldemorts own hand, and even that was seemingly speculation by the prophet. He’s speaking as someone who is still learning about who this person is, and of course she’s not equal with him, he’s just not going to battle his girlfriend into the dirt when he’s having his first real duel with her, and likely trying to make her better. Like he said at the beginning, he’s holding back because otherwise he would kill her. You’re reading way too much into his inner monologue.

2024-03-14 04:27:03 +0000 UTCI feel that the duel felt authentic to the character Jameson. The more unbelievable scenes were when Jameson was dominating people magically. To me, Jameson strikes me as a reluctant protagonist, whose magical strengths lie in analysis, detection, and protection. I think that’s a great character. He is kind of a curmudgeon lol. However sometimes he fires from the hip and kills 24 of Amelia’s captors that are hired and competent wands without a plan. It’s weird when he does that. I would rather Jameson get so fed up with Voldemort messing with his life that he starts scheming and planting booby traps all over Voldemorts plans and ends the threat that way than the direct confrontation.
