Assuming harry is at least equal to Voldemort if not better than him considering he’s already defeated him, why would any of the recruits/death eaters be able to challenge him? It’s not like any of them could give riddle any trouble, if anything Harry seems potentially underpowered as he’s more cautious and seems less able to just power through the riddles followers than Voldemort would be I get the impression that they are sure that even if they threw everything they had at him riddle ( as he’s not even truly Voldemort yet) would destroy them all and there’s no question of doubt that even alone he can and would overpower all of them so like it or not they have to serve him now. I know for certain no 5 death eaters together would phase or challenge dumbledore he’s proven himself can able of single-handedly being able to easily subdue at least a dozen at a time if not more, he grinders and voldemort are literally one man army’s as in the can take out an army of wizards and cans do as much damage single-handedly as an army, harry is meant to be on the same sort of level, so it’s not incompetent help it’s just the gap is that vast

I'm not sure on the calibre of wizards & witches on Riddle's side atm. They seem highly incompetent and it seems strange that, throughout his travels, Riddle hasn't come across potential lieutenants in the mould of Dholov & Bellatrix. Ofc, they won't beat your versions of Harry, but they'd give him trouble & put more effort to getting him as opposed to just forgetting about it. Anyway, thank you for the chapter Mr McCusker and I look forward to the next one.
