I don't think Dumbles fighting Grindelwald is "doing the right thing". He is a professor, a scholar, not a fighter. He has no responsibility for the wizarding world as a whole. The fact they used to be friends (or lovers or whatever) doesnt really change it. In canon he only did it because there was literally noone else and we still dont know how he actually did it. In this story there is Harry, there are armies to do the fighting etc. We could argue anyone from the fighters had a shot on grindelwald and before the war nobody knew grindelwald would survive and win.

2021-11-18 23:22:02 +0000 UTCI’m curious and excited to see how far the story is going to go. Will Harry be the one that defeats grindelwald? Or will dumbledore do the right thing? Is the story going to end there or are we going to follow Harry until Tom hits adult years and Harry finally decides it’s time to execute order 66? When is Harry going to grow a pair and stop being selfish and date Minerva. There’s so much left to this story and it’s exciting not to know where it’s going. Excellent work as usual Mr. Baron
