IGIWS FIRST DRAFT: Ch.384 The Goddesses Found Hope
Added 2025-08-18 03:13:32 +0000 UTCUp in the clouds above the Capital of Fiafyr. Two panicking Dark Elf Goddesses were pacing around Iyomelka who looked like she was in the middle of a deep meditation.
Iyomelka was looking through billions of different possibilities to save both her's and Nil's Chosen Ones. None of this would have happened if Nils didn't convince Hilda to trust Leandra. But Nils couldn't help herself, she wanted to talk to Rya about saving the Dark Elves, however, Iyomelka put up a spiritual barrier to prevent her from communicating with Rya again. Iyomelka did it for Nils sake as the Dark Elven Goddesses had angered Rya for putting her through some tough situations for their entertainment.
Nils's impatience got the better of her and noticed that a former devout follower of a different faith began to question them giving her an opportunity to speak to Hilda instead. She thought the quicker Hilda was out of the picture the faster they could get Rya and Quinus married. But she didn't realize that using Wyrdtrace had a severe side effect of using the technique. It would cause a ripple effect of all the possibilities becoming a reality and causing a cascade of events to unfold. Which meant that by using Wyrdtrace she caused the timeline to split and thus making it impossible to control. By using Wyrdtrace, she angered the Fates and their punishment was losing their chosen one in a tragic turn of events. The only way to fix the problem was to use as little Promotional Essence as possible to interact with world, it needed to be so minuet that no mortal would notice their presence. If they failed to do so, the fates would cut them off from using clairvoyance, like the Divine Three. Over time they would need to spend more and more Primordial Essence to keep their followers in line until they would be too weak to stop another God from exiling them from the planet.
Losing clairvoyance can cripple a God's ability to counteract their enemies' actions. This would be a huge setback to Nils, Nebulus, and Iyomelka. If the other gods found out that their rivals would be weakened it would give the opportunity to take over the Agon Continent.
And so, Iyomelka was diligently searching all possible timelines were they use as little Primordial Essence to fix the situation that Nils herself caused.
"H-How hasn't she found a—"
"NILS! Stop it! Iyomelka is doing everything to fix our mistakes! Or would you like to be using clairvoyance for as long as she has?" Nebulus asked Nils in an angry tone. "She is going to find a way to fix our mistake, and you should be thankful that she's going through such discomfort to do it."
The Goddess of Life, was sweating bullets, "But Neb! Iyomelka stopped showing us the Window of Fates to see what she sees and we only have three days or less, before that stupid redhead gets Rya or Quinus kills because of those dumb succubi crafted candles! Stupid Seralyth! How does a Chaos Goddess become a Deity of Love and Romance!" Nils yelled at the top of her lungs. "It makes no sense for her to be a Goddess of Love and Romance! She's a Goddess of Chaos! She shouldn't be trying to help other species with their relationships problems!"
"Quiet!" Iyomelka said as she was going through another timeline. She was looking at every timeline in the past that could be fixed so they wouldn't lose Rya and Nieren to Hilda. Iyomelka was getting frustrated after going through a couple million possibilities. She could feel a headache coming on, however as time moved on. Certain timelines that didn't come true vanished cleaning up a new web of possibilities for Iyomelka to look through. She kept looking through each timeline.
"Come on, Nils. Seralyth's father was a Deity of Virtue. She has a weird connection to all mortals. She couldn't help but guide her followers into happy relationships," Nebulus said. "You need to calm down."
Nils turned away from both Iyomelka and her sister. She had a frown on her face and held a clenched fist up to chin height. Her arm was shaking a little as she was imagining hitting someone or something. 'Grrr! Stupid Veythara! You were the Succubus Goddess Temptation! How the in the endless void did she fall in love with Caelior!? He's nothing more than a God of Honor! Like really! One would think she would have fallen in love with the God of War! But nooooo! She goes head over heels with a guy who is honorable, loyal, and virtuous! He's boring! Predictable! And not even hot! Sigh... I'm getting nowhere with this.'
Nils sighed and slapped both her cheeks at the same time to bring herself out of her thoughts. She turned back around to look at Iyomelka, who's right eyebrow raised in surprise.
"Huh? I-I think Iyomelka found a possible way to fix this mess!" Nebulus said, looking at Iyomelka. She watched as she used the clairvoyance to look through possible futures, and her face scrunched up. Iyomelka had sweat on her forehead and was trying to figure out what needed to be done to make sure Rya and Nieren didn't die.
'Th-That's it! With a little wardrobe malfunction here, and move the carpet just enough to trip that maid there, but do I get both those wood elves in the same room as well?... No, that would get the Fates attention and this is the best odds I've found. The blonde hair elf will have to do. That why Rya and Nieren will survive Quinus's lust frenzied state. But what will happen to the Red headed girl? I see four possibilities. The first and most likely path is her execution once the Wolfkin sniffs her out. The second most likely path is getting thrown into a dungeon were she starves to death in about a year. Third path is getting exiled, and the fourth path is becoming the third wife of my Chosen One. A 1.7 percent chance for that one to happen. Pff! That's never going to happen. But maybe I can—no. She's a follower of those Three invaders. I don't care what happens to the red head. Her fate is sealed no matter what I do.'
Iyomelka was running all the possibilities to make sure there wasn't any other deviations to the future that could cause a good timeline to collapse. 'I can't believe that was the best I could do... But if I do more than that the Fates will surely step in. Well at least Rya and Quinus are safe and the red head is no longer a concern for me.' She smiled, knowing that everything would go smoothly now that Rya and Quinus's safety were most likely guaranteed. Iyomelka took a deep breath and relaxed.
Nils and Nebulus took a few steps in closer to Iyomelka. They could feel Iyomelka no longer pulling their Primordial Essence to help her with her clairvoyance. They were happy that they could feel their essence returning and were curious to know what Iyomelka found out.
Iyomelka opened her eyes and saw the two girls looking at her with a bit of hope but their trepidation wasn't fully gone yet.
"I can see a few possibilities to correct the mistakes without getting the Fates' attention, but we aren't out of the void, yet," Iyomelka says, as she stood up and looks at both of the goddesses.
Nebulus was trying her hardest not to lose her cool. "What are the odds?"
"Yes, please tell us, O' Great and Lame, Iyomelka," Nils added in, not even trying to hide her agitation.
Iyomelka frowned at Nils.
"S-Sorry! All your priestesses keep praying to us and I can't get it out of my head." Nils said, rubbing her temples.
Iyomelka shook her head. "We have an 61 percent chance to fix the timeline to almost it's original state. But the opportunity that Rya is my Chosen One's only lover is gone."
"61 Percent!? That's not good at all!" Nils whined in a huff.
Iyomelka sighed, "It is the best I can do and as long as no unforseen deviations come up l, than I believe we can pull it off."
Nils wanted better odds than that, but she knew that Iyomelka must have done everything in her power to get that high of a percentage. She would have liked 80 percent or higher. But it looked like beggers could not be choosers.
"Nils... It's better than a coin flip... So, who is the second wife going to be? I'm assuming that it is one of those two elves? Or is it going to be a human maid? Or is it possibly a random female that we don't know about yet?" Nebulus asked.
"The problem is Quinus's ancient bloodline of the Meredydd's. Following through his veins is a small amount of an Arch Incubus from long ago. He can't use demonic powers after all the generations of human only partners have watered down the demon's blood. But like his father and uncle, their libidos are ten, twenty-five, or even hundred times stronger than the average human male. And with his Vein Mana development to this level has made him physically stronger than every male in the Agon Continent.
Iyomelka walked around the altar in the sky.
"He needs women that are strong enough to take his love-making. Otherwise his women will pass out from the exhaustion then he will break their pelvises causing internal bleeding. He won't be able to control himself and the only way he would calm down is if the women he's currently making love to is close to or are equally as strong as him."
Nebulus and Nils looked at each other then back to Iyomelka.
"Rya, and Nieren are the strongest single women in the kingdom that can survive about ten to fifteen minutes with him. The only other human noble women that can last are either married or their Mana Veins aren't developed enough to withstand his strength. Sure, there are a few female knights that could survive, for a few thrusts but they will break and die before Rya will regain her senses. I want to avoid using Yuliana, Dalia, Tanya, Nalumbo, or...may the void forgive me, Rianna to save Rya. Those are the only other women that have a strong enough Mana Vein to survive a round with him."
"Wait a minute!? Would the percentages get better if we open up how many women we add? If that's the case, who cares if those ones are married! If we can't get that weird Blonde Haired Elf in the room with Rya and Quinus, then we should at least get the Green Haired Elf or the Queen! Maybe both of them! Why are you being so stubborn, Iyomelka?" Nils asked.
Iyomelka pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration.
"Rianna's spirit are bound to her loved one and she's my Chosen One's mother! And Yuliana is still technically connected to her husband. Things with him are not resolved and having one of those two in the room with Rya and Quinus will destroy the relationships that they have forged. They would be feeling either guilt or shame for the rest of their lives complicating the dynamics of others. They are out of the question. It has to be Nieren or things won't go well for them in the end."
Iyomelka then looked at Nebulus and Nils, who were watching her closely.
"The Wood Elf is in love with Quinus and Rya will accept her as a sister-wife. All other women are most likely going to be on Rya's bad side if they survive. And the percentages only go down if we add women. Rya isn't found of sharing, unless it is with a woman that her former male side likes. So, we will have to do the best that we can with Nieren. And you two will have to help me keep watch of the Fates for the next two days to make sure we don't loose this possible thread. We have to be ready for the day that Rya tries to leave the palace. It will come sooner than we think. It's the best that we can hope for, for now."
"Then let's hope that the fates are back on our side," Nebulus said in a soft voice, her eyes fixed on Iyomelka as she nodded in agreement.
The Dark Elf Goddess Nils had a look of determination written all over it. She wasn't going to screw this up again. She knew she had fate on her side in the past, and took it for granted. And her negligence was forcing the Fates to punished her for her poor decisions. She was determined to not let them down again, no matter what it took. She knew that the fate of her people depended on it, and she wasn't going to let them suffer any longer.
'I-It is time to grow up! I promise to make things right, Rya. Even if you never forgive me, I won't stop until your path to true love and happiness is restored!' Nils thought, as she clenched her fists tightly and looked up into the starry sky, hoping for the best.
