Jessie Buckley is going to win the Oscar for Best Actress this year. What she does here is incredible. The complexity of being a woman, a mother, going through the loss of a child, and living inside that grief. It’s just beautiful work. And Paul Mescal is just as great. I walked out of the theater completely shattered. By the way, if you want to see more amazing work from Jessie Buckley you should definitely check out The Lost Daughter (with Paul Mescal and the incredible Olivia Colman) or I’m Thinking of Ending Things (with Jesse Plemons).
