Misadventures! - Update to the story making method



Ok guys, this is the last update before the Misadventures resumes! Yes it is almost time at last, and I want to thank you all for your patience and support on building up and evolving this little story, little by little into something bigger! I can't thank you all enough for this TwT...!

Now in this post is I want to talk a little bit about how the Misadventures will play out.

To give you a quick summary, this is how the story will progress:

1 - Story Polls: at each update post, Tier 2 and above patrons can vote and decide what happens next.

2 - Combat Polls: In times of combat, polls for each heroes will be made with all their current skills, to vote on what actions to perform.

*(optional: you could add a fan-comment to suggest how the actions may happen, but note that not always this will happen)

3 - Misadventures TTRPG guide rules: Most, if not all, interactions' final success' of how well they will perform will also be determined with the help of ttrpg rule-book

4 - new skills can be learned as rewards from completing big quests, or defeating stronger foes

5 - Mile stones, that are needed to lvl up skills, will be rewarded from completing big quests, or defeating stronger foes

6 - LVL ups for learned skills, will happen later via polls too,

In more details:
As you already know, the misadventures will be a CYOA style story, where you, the patrons of second tier and above, will decide what will happen next. The first chapter played out a bit more with patrons just let their comments and decide from them and the like they received from each other, what will happen next, but after consideration for the long terms of the story, I saw that this was not gonna be really a good approach, as it can easily create some turmoil within actions as a whole between patrons in the long term, and that is something I don't want to happen.

So I decided to follow up with a little simpler approach: Polls.

Story polls:
Depending on how the story may progress, in each update I will be providing the available options the heroes can take, so you can choose from them what happens next.

These choices will variate depending on the part of the story, from taking simple quests, training to learn or improve skills and professions, to trying to solve the mysteries of the story that is transpires on that little island right now.

Combat Polls:
Sooner or later, all brave adventurers must face combat, and our story will have its fair share, for sure! For those times, we will be making polls again, little bigger ones than the story polls, too, that will have all the current known skills and actions the heroes can use in combat. For the reason of being even more multi options, each combat poll will have 2 polls, one for Ywfelle, and one for Bacchus.
* NOTE: not all fight s need to be fought. You can always try to run away from smaller encounters, or even try to negotiate with a few of them as well, with your interactions skills. The choices will be there, it will just be up to you to decide what you want to try and do at the end ;3.
** A small extra optional, is that you can always leave a fan-comment that suggests how the actions may happen. Note that this won't be guaranteed to happen, regardless of the tiers as well. This is just a fun suggestion that you can make, to the very least my inspire how the actions play out.

Misadventures TTRPG guide rules:
And that is not all either. Both Story and Combat polls will also be effected by the TTRPG Misadventures guide's rules that is being created for this story as well. The heroes powers and skills will play bigger role to their interactions they take, too, like sometimes Bacchus photographic memory may hold the key to solve some puzzles, remember or notice details Ywfelle missed, or there will be times were Ywfelle's natural brawn or charm, may come in need to deal with whatever or whoever bars our heroes' path!

New skills and mile stones:
Every fantasy story have the heroes getting rewards for their achievements, and you can be sure that our heroes will get some extra items along with their rewards after defeating foes or completing quests.

Mile stones, will be the ones that will be rewarded a bit more often, as they will help to lvl up your active and passive skills, while New skills can be learned a little less often. New skills, will be learned from using "Skill gems", an item similar to mile stones that will be acquired as rewards or found in treasure chests, and will be held in our heroes item bag.

Now, as for the skills they can learn, I also decided for plot reasons, mostly, to have specific sets of skills available for our heroes to learn.

(Will share all the info later, but if you are curious let me know, and i will make a new post about them.)

You will be able to use either of them to learn or upgrade your skills, during resting moments in your adventures, and will let you know about them, with polls once more.

Last but not least. The comic will be available for all tiers to view and read, but don't forget that you need to be tier 2 or above patron to take part on the polls.
