Yesterday I invested my time with a prop rigged By @RogueFMG, tip given by @JDV.
Yeah, there is already a measuring tape working here, haha.
No, it can't cover all Giselle's measurements (it is only 1 meter long) but I did some witchery and could simulate it around her (though the texture is from the 1m tape).
I lost the scene, 'cause why not test stuff until Daz crashes, but I could make the render tests and even think how I could rig something similar (though it demands a time I don't have now...), probably with... less bones? Would it work?
Maybe multiple textures areas for making it easier to exchange it and keeping it compatible with iRay and other rendering engines with limited texture size? Being still be able to "grow" the tape as long as I wish? IDK, just thinking, working with his prop gave me a lot of ideas, it is good to have a working reference 'cause I can try something totally different so we can one day create the ultimate measuring prop? It is a thought.
There are multiple ways of rigging something, so, yes, I'll try it as a legacy format, MAYBE we can have a CR2 of it and make it work on Poser too.
I only had problems with the dials that seemed a bit too reactive... were they excited by the fact they're around Giselle's breasts? Probably haha.
Despite of the tips of the tape being a little bit deformed (when I stretched the tape probably I chose the wrong axis to do so), you guys can see how Giselle struggles to make it surround her overdeveloped bust and read that she might buy bigger tops for this season!
As you can see in the tape, it marks 94, multiply it by 2, the scale factor I used, and we have 188 centimeters of bust, literally 74 inches.
She is bustier than I'm tall. Freaking GODDESS!
Haha, weird comparison...
I did my tests here, it didn't work at first, I gave up, then this morning I did another try (attachment). It sucks 'cause I can't select it freely... but it has a different navigation on the scene menu where the bones expand from the origin and it shows all the bones in a single list (I like this type of navigation more)... What is good 'cause I love navigating via menu but it sucks if you're fan of viewport selecting... also it is not twisting... it is easier but it is harder...
I may give a try on this different approach, who knows what can happen? hehe.
See ya
