Jerry had been pulled out of class by the police and told that his parents had been killed. In a whirlwind he found himself placed with his aunt who lived in an isolated cottage by a lake.
He had just unpacked his things and was laying on the couch, when Aunt Alice poked him with a needle injecting him with something. He jumped up to confront her but fell over and lost consciousness before he could get any words out.
There were images and moments. Doctors looking down, garbled conversations, pain, and strange sensations. Aunt Alice giving shots, a soft voice repeating the name Julie.
Finally the fog lifted. Alice was there to explain that after a search for the missing Jerry, the police had declared him a runaway four months ago. In truth, Jerry had been in Alice’s clinic where her team was testing a revolutionary new feminization procedure. Surgery, dna therapy and nano-enhanced hormones reshaped the body while deep hypnotic suggestion reshaped the mind.
Julie shook her head in denial. Why did she think of herself in female pronouns? Why was she calling herself Julie? She was Jerry! But that felt wrong. She pushed past Alice. She was going to… do what?
Jerry should feel angry, emasculated, and humiliated! Jerry should call the cops or kill Alice himself.
She wasn’t Jerry. She was a girl now. She was Julie and Julie sat by the lake thinking that this wasn’t so bad.
