Roland gazed past locks of long hair that had not been there minutes ago down to the rose that the witch had left behind while reflecting on the cruelty of the curse.
You have until this rose wilts and dies to fall in love with someone who returns that love to you. Only then will you be restored to your male form.
The witch then laughed as Roland’s body and clothing was transformed. Now Roland is feeling the sensations of a new body, smaller, weaker, with weight on her chest and a void between her legs and she thinks of what that curse means.
Ignore the curse, and be stuck as a woman forever.
But, could she set out to find love in the body she had? Could she bring herself to love a man? Could she win the heart of another woman?
Even if she did, the love was doomed. For they would fall in love with Roland as a woman, the moment that love was realized, she would cease to be the woman they loved.
Lost love and heartache, or lost manhood.
It was an impossible choice.
