Considering the significant investment sponsors make in their candidates transition, these are valid concerns. Allow us to reassure you with the following example
Meet Regina.
Reginald (Reggie) had a history of spousal abuse, alcoholism, and infidelity. After a he put his wife in the hospital, she convinced him to attend Ms. Lilith’s “To treat his drinking.” He signed the commitment papers and medical waiver then went inside.
Unfortunately Reggie’s wife was killed in a car accident after dropping him off but she had paid in advance so the treatment went ahead.
Few resisted the program as fiercely as Reggie did, attempting to assault staff and escape, even after vaginoplasty when most candidates give up. Eventually, however, Regina accepted her new place in the world, as all candidates do.
As her sponsor was deceased, Regina was released on her own at the end of her treatment with nobody to re enforce her femininity.
Two years after release, Regina continues to live as a woman. She is studying cosmetology while working as a topless barista in a novelty coffee shop. She hasn’t touched a drop of alcohol in 3 years and the most regressive thing she has done is that she sometimes allows herself to wear denim culottes instead of a skirt.
If Reggie never came back, no man will.
