Confronting the future

She used to imagine her and Mark’s future together. They would move out of the city and raise a family together. Mark would be the breadwinner and Lisa would be a soccer mom. At night, after the kids were in bed, they would make love like they always had.
All that was gone! Without a sperm donor, the two of them couldn’t have children. The network was unlikely to keep Mark in the anchor seat as an average looking woman, and worst of all, Lisa wasn’t attracted women. Even if that woman was Mark.
She loved Mark as a person, but she was not a Lesbian and she couldn’t seem to force herself to be with Mark that way. Not like this. She thought Mark knew. Since the transformation, Mark had tried to initiate with her and Lisa had made excuses every time.
That night they both cried because they knew their future was lost. They divorced, but remained close as they went on a new adventure.
