The Gladiators – Part XI (Public)

The Roman crowd roars as the Gaulish gladiator writhes in the grip of his adversary, apparently on the point of submission. Yet the hold which pins his sweating and slick skin is not as strong as it seems; already he is sliding free of it, too slippery to restrain. With a swift and decisive move he turns the tables on the Teuton by ramming an elbow hard into his stomach, causing him to stagger forwards, all grip lost and struggling for breath from being winded.

“There!” exclaims the Consul. “Did I not say that my wager was safe? See the skill of the Gaul, see his cunning in play! What can that great lout of a Teuton do against such craft?”

The girl, about to reply, instead gasps and stares, eyes wide, as the Gaul follows up his move by making a grab at his temporarily-helpless opponent’s groin. With hard, strong fingers he seizes hold of the other’s balls and administers a squeeze which makes the redhead cry out aloud – much to the amusement of the mob.  A further yell follows as the torturing grip tightens, forcing the Teuton fighter to double forward in pain while the Gaul grins with cruel mirth.

“You must accept it, my dear,” laughs the Consul condescendingly, “your chosen champion is all-but finished and your stake is already as good as lost.”

The girl, wincing slightly in sympathy, says nothing as the Germanic warrior cries out in pain once more – but then her eyes widen again and she rises spontaneously to her feet as the Gaul, loosing his grip on his balls, instead rams a hard fist into the pit of his stomach – and the crowd roars anew.

“Outclassed,” drawls the Consul. “Quite simply outclassed…”
