Weekly News

Hi everyone!

We’ve wrapped up all the major fixes and tweaks from the last build (thanks to your bug reports!) and are now fully focused on version 0.10.0!

The Valley

As you know, the next update will introduce a vast new location packed with a lot of points of interest. We’re designing the valley to make every corner worth exploring, so expect Easter eggs, puzzles, funny things, treasures and way more!

We’re busy creating tons of 3D assets for this area right now. It’s a massive task, so it’ll take time. Some objects you’ll smash to clear space for village construction; others will have interactive puzzles rewarding you with collectibles or useful goodies. Every detail matters, so we’re giving each object the attention it deserves!

Construction Progress

We’ve made significant progress in the building mechanics, the foundation’s set, and we’re already testing basic construction in the engine. But there’s one tiny headache left: those darn roofs. Yep, the same roof issues we mentioned during the design process are back to haunt us! They’re still tricky, but we’ve got solutions in sight and plan to conquer them soon.

Combat Upgrades

We're also working on improving the combat mechanics, since starting from the next story chapter, you'll be facing off against enemies. Don’t worry though — fights won’t get brutally hard! We're aiming to make the gameplay more rich, varied and engaging, so the addition of new enemies will add just the right kick to keep gameplay fresh.

Cutscenes

All visual assets for the Intro cutscene are ready! The comic storyboard has been created with the visuals in mind, and work on the frames has begun. This very week we plan to start assembling this cutscene in the game engine.
