Hi everyone!

We're in the final stretch for Tame It Too! 0.9.0 before the testing phase begins! Nearly all the core features are in — quests, dialogs, and texts are ready. Now we're polishing the breeding system, improving some locations with new objects, and most importantly — tweaking the new hot scene!

Temple Location

The temple ruins are getting the biggest makeover as their role in the story is changing entirely! Inside, you’ll find:

We're currently working on creating the puzzle for this location. Nothing too hard, just enough to tickle your brain-gears!

Breeding Upgrade

We're putting the finishing touches on the breeding system! Recent tests have shown pretty intriguing results, and we can't wait to show you just how much the features have improved and expanded compared to the previous breeding prototype!

New generations of girls will now look much more diverse, the breeding process will pass on more physical traits including horns, hooves and paws, tails, various hairstyles and more. You'll be able to see all of this for yourself very soon!

Easter Minigame

We hope you enjoyed our little naughty surprise — the egg-catching minigame! We'd love to hear your thoughts about it. Remember, you can impact its future development, if enough players express interest, this mini-game could get new levels, animations, bonus scenes and more!

New Minigames in Tame It Too!

The release of an Easter mini-game has raised questions about minigames within Tame It Too! itself. We already have several such games planned to diversify the core gameplay, and we'll strive to add even more in the future!

Lee will begin mastering new skills and tackling fresh challenges in upcoming releases, giving us plenty of room to add more minigames. We'll make sure they're vibrant and engaging additions to the gameplay, making your experience on our beautiful tropical island even more immersive!

Thank you for your incredible support! Your enthusiasm fuels our late-night coding sessions.

Have a great mood and a wonderful week!

Catch the Egg is quite fun, but I'm generally critical of minigames. Often, exactly what Jacques Gousset wrote in his post about "Catch The Egg" happens: They become repetitive too quickly! That's often a huge problem across all video games I know that contain minigames. If you developers on the Manka team do this, then do it like in TameIt, where we either have multiple ways to solve the minigame—for example, in the translation minigame, there were emoji rain and brain points—or make it possible to skip the minigame entirely. You did that in TameIt, too, but you'd have to accept reduced achievements for that, like with fishing, but I thought that was perfectly fine. Another possibility, if the minigame is essential to the plot, would be to program a counter that counts in the background how many times the player starts the minigame and fails, for example, to add an improvement after the 10th attempt or to unlock the option to skip. It would be better, however, if minigames were not essential but optional with bonus rewards.
