Raiden progress update and December project announcement!

Hello my Sweethearts!

How have you been? And as the saying goes, it’s Wednesday my Friends!
This saying somehow reminds me of other saying people have in Russia: “Give me back my 2007”. If the first saying is about celebration of small pleasant things in life, the other is more about reminiscing about the simpler, more “well-fed” times. As I recall, people often use it as the meme, to express their disappointment in current reality/situation.
Truthfully said, I don’t understand why so many people love 2007 (I understand, it’s a local meme, but still). And one of Tao’s friends gave a good explanation: “It was the last well-fed year, before the crisis happened (and many other conflicts)”. I was at school that year, didn’t care about money and politics and rarely wondered what my future would be. I have great memories from that time, but I have no clue why it has such status. Same goes for Tao. Neither of us can’t understand what was so good about it and people who use this meme often. )

Do you have your local sayings that became a meme at one point, similar to what I wrote? Please share, it’s really interesting. )

But I have gone too far in my thoughts. I guess, today is a day, when I’m able to talk on paper about almost everything freely.
Anyway, today I want to share another progress update of our Raiden.
What I like about this model, the characters that were chosen for her really suit her. Bowsette, Velma, Kujou Sara, The Hatter and now Raiden. Little bit of playfulness combines well with adult dignity and shapes. But her strong sides are also her flaws, like double edged sword. It takes a lot of time to dull one side and sharpen the other. Very tiring process, even in relatively simple projects. Like Raiden.
As I said in my previous post, our expectations of the project were different, but we are doing our best to overcome it.  
Fun fact, among all our models, this model has the most experience in actual cosplay. Real cosplay. The one, when you create anything just because you want it, but only have a few pieces of material and paper. Another fun fact, the most well executed characters of hers were male characters. )

And in fear of that I want to make an earlier announcement of what project will await you in December and January. You’ll understand why it's a two month project after seeing preview images.

This is the first Dzikan project in a long time featuring two models. Let me introduce you to 2B 2P photoshoot. I haven’t come up with proper naming for this project, so maybe you will come up with a great idea? )
I wanted both characters to have the same amount of spotlight. Not like we usually did, when we added one character who had a support role, so the main character would shine brighter. The great example will be Bowsette or Zatanna photoshoot. But this project is different.
Both 2B and 2P can easily draw all the attention from the counterpart, if this matter wasn’t handled with care. Because otherwise it would easily become a solo photoshoot.
We also chose two of our best models and I don’t want it to look like a competition. )

We have two models, both need extra attention on post-production, which means double amount of work. Tao will have a very painful headache and deep bags under eyes. And very close to burn out. On the good side, there will be brief Christmas/New Year holidays.
