Hello my Sweethearts!
How are you doing? How has August started for you? Did the weather change drastically at your place?
Mine started with a huge sense of support and understanding.
We’re working hard on August’s part of the reward and it makes my heart happy. Thank you very much for finding time to share your thoughts and opinions.
Taking in consideration your words and support, I decided that we’ll finish with Prciscilla properly in order to be able to work properly after our small break/vacation.
Your support truly means a lot to me and drives me to work harder. Both of us.
I wasn’t expecting that, but August finally brought us a mild summer. After two months of 38-41 C, it’s very refreshing to have 24-28 C outside. The change is so big, it feels a bit chilly here. From some of my friends on patreon, I heard that it happened too in Europe. I guess it’s the same for all of Eurasia. How is it on other continents? )
Today I’m here to share a fully closed image. Even though it doesn’t have spice in it, it has a beautiful tenderness. Just what’s needed after a long day of work or to ease up during the dinner break.
Don’t forget to take a rest, when needed. Sometimes in the heat of work we tend to stop hearing our bodies. Drink some water or tea (it’ll help to wake up and won’t affect as hard as coffee), have a breath of fresh air. If you smoke, well, try to smoke at least one cigarette less. Your health is very important to accomplish many things in life.
And don’t miss your dinner. As people in China say: “Food is a medicine”. (not sure how exactly the saying goes) Heal yourself with tasty food. )
I like this shot, because it gives the sense of intimacy and non-verbal dialogue. Sometimes eyes say more about feelings and thoughts. When you were loved by someone, you’ll know what I mean.
Another thing I wanted to share is another before/after example. But this one will be different. This time I’ll show you how the image changes the more time on post-production goes. Sometimes you see that you might’ve missed certain details during the first retouching round. You had a different feel about the image overall and model’s emotion. Since our models are not professionals, we need to mold them in what we wanted. Basically change a bit model’s face structure. You’ll be amazed, how expression changes with few edits here and there.~
Also after many hours watching at the monitor your eyes start to tire.
When the light on model’s body is complicated, it’s hard to understand where light bounced off, refracted, blended etc. It changes from shot to shot and you need to even each shot to all other. Which means your interpretations may be distracted.

This image is a very exact example of what I was talking about. Light didn’t work well on set, but the emotion was near to what I wanted. Tao had the impression of a bit sad and melancholic Priiscilla of the first round of retouch. After discussion and reanalyzing the image, we came to the conclusion that it doesn’t work with the set and also there were parts on model’s face analyzed a bit incorrectly due to complicated light and errors on set.
After the second round of retouch, many things changed and now we have a shot that works better.
What do you think? )
I know, the changes can be barely seen, we had first edit only in lower resolution and also changes are not that instantly visible. It’ll help, if you’ll watch at the photo collage overall without zooming in.
I want to wish you an easy working week or great vacation. )
P.S.: Baldur’s Gate 3 is an amazing game! All those years of wait finally paid off. Also it’s fun to see how the game changed during alfa, beta and now on release. If you have time and love rpgs, this is a must-try.
