Daenerys progress! [Backstage first look]

Big NEWS today!
Recently, we finished shooting our Daenerys project, and today I'm here to share with few photos from upcoming backstage for this project )
It was fun and interesting project to work on set with. And now I'm going to share with few small stories that happened on set. "Stories" is quite big word for them, maybe "situations" or "facts" happened during our shoot. Mostly, they are fun, so now worries )

First. When we arrived to place (about 50km from our city), there was first unexpected thing. There were several cars with vacationers out there sunbathing. There were even group of 20 children just hanging around! )
Luckily for us, we managed to find more peaciful place, but still there were few people far around. And we don't count other riverside (brink?) )
You'll see few strangers on some backstage photos. But question is still there: how come there are so many people near river in the midst of working week? )

Second. When we first planned Daenerys photoshoot, we decided to shoot in the evening few hours before sunset, in order to be able to catch "golden hour" freely. Here is a smal detail about Siberia. In summer, especially in first half, sun sets veeery late, at 10-11 p.m. and rises at 3-4 a.m. . So, it's always bright, even at night. But august is pretty chill month (mostly too chill for summer month), and sun is starting to stay less time.
In short, turned out, that we were a bit wrong and sun set later ) So we needed to wait, until we'll be able to work with fire.

Third. And few advices for my Friends, who'll try to make photoshoot with fire:
Paper and cloth soaked in wax burn really long time. Especially paper roll, maybe about 30-40 minutes. If it was not for them (and with a little bit help of kerosene), we couldn't shoot long with fire. Because our bonfire burned down unexpectedly really fast )
Salt, sugar and flour didn't work this time, maybe because our fire wasn't that big. We expected big amount of sparks when this substances are thrown. So make your fire big!
Actually salt worked a bit and produced small amount of sparks. Maybe other types of salt will work better, we used coarse sea salt.
Make sure to use wet stick as handle (not sure if it is a right word) for your torch. We weren't so smart first, hahaha )
If you want image with your character in front of big fire, make small fire and time to time (before taking each shot) throw a bit of kerosin in it (bottle cup will be enough) to make beautiful bigger fire. Ofcourse don't try this at home, in your garden and without any fire fighting equipment!

Fouth. This time we had a bigger team on set. Our good friend and patron Alex (This friend of ours also helped us previous month, by sharing with his country house or "dacha" in russian for our Succubus project) helped us as driver and with light and fire on set. You'll see him in our backstage, so shout ot to this great man for hard work and kind heart! ) And big thanks to our model, who didn't mind too much of his presence and understood that it was best for the project to have more free hands. )

Five (fifth). Water was warm. Daenerys can aprove it )

Six. Rocky shore is a very hard place to shoot at. I think I'll need to buy new shoes. And I don't talk about our model, who needed to be barefooted when needed.

Now, when I'm writing this post, I can surely say - photoshoot went well and we have a lot of great shots from it. I really like how everything look and can't wait to start post works, ecpecially on images with fire )

For us, Me and Tao are going on small work-trip to other city to shoot BIG project. There will be about 12 cosplayers and all characters from the Witcher series. This is not my project, and we were aproached to shoot this project. The more, I'll tell in my next big post after ariving!
