We are currently fine-tuning the game's effects and values, and it is expected to be released next week. So far, it has met my expectations, and basically, as long as it can run and be played, it's okay. As for visual performance, gameplay, and playability, these will be iterated multiple times. This is just the initial version, and it will get better and better.
Today, I'd like to introduce the main gameplay of "XPBattle". For players who are not familiar with auto-chess games, you may need some basic knowledge about auto-chess, especially since there is no tutorial for new players yet, and starting the game directly may be a bit difficult. However, for players who have played "Teamfight Tactics" or "Dota Auto Chess", you can play "XPBattle" in the same way.

The game's main interface has four options: "Start Game", "Continue Game", "Settings", and "End Game". To start the game, simply click "NEW GAME". The game has an auto-save feature, so you can exit and continue playing later by clicking "CONTINUE". "END GAME" allows you to exit the game.
In the "SETTINGS" menu, although there are many options, not many have been implemented yet, so it's best to use the default settings for now.

The game is operated using the Left and Right Mouse Buttons. The left mouse button can be used to buy units, drag units onto the battlefield, and sell units in the shop. The right mouse button can be used to view unit details. Other keyboard functions have been designed but not yet implemented.

In the Top-Right Corner of the game screen, there are buttons for double speed, tutorial, and settings. In the Bottom-Left Corner, there is an upgrade button, and in the Bottom-Right Corner, there are buttons for refreshing the shop and starting the battle (OK).
In the Top-Left Corner of the game screen, you can see the player's health and gained benefits. At the Top, you can see the battle stage, which consists of 5 regular battles, 1 boss battle, and 1 buff selection opportunity. The game has a total of 6 Stages, and completing the last boss battle in stage 6 will clear the game.
At the bottom of the screen, you can see the Shop interface. Clicking on a character card will allow you to buy that unit, and the unit will appear in the Preparation Area above. You can then drag the unit onto the Battlefield using the left mouse button. If there are units in the preparation area and the battlefield is not full, the units will automatically join the battle when it starts.
The Upgrade Button allows you to spend gold to level up, which increases the chance of getting high-cost cards. The highest level is 10, and the probability of getting a 5-cost card can reach 25%.
After clicking the OK Button to start the battle, the units on the battlefield will automatically fight, and the player cannot control the units during battle. However, you can still buy units and view unit details.
When there are 3 one-star units on the battlefield or in the preparation area, they will automatically upgrade to a single two-star unit. Similarly, 3 two-star units will upgrade to a single three-star unit. Once a card reaches three stars, it will no longer appear in the shop.
Each card has its own XP Type and Battle Occupation (also known as a bond), and different bonds will have different effects when played. The more units with the same bond on the battlefield, the higher the bond level, and the stronger the battle effect.
The gameplay is simple: buy the cards you need from the shop, drag them onto the battlefield, and click OK to start the battle.
If you want to get high-cost cards earlier in the shop, level up as soon as possible. If you want to buy more cards, buy the ones you need from the shop first and then refresh the shop. However, note that every 10 gold you have will earn 1 gold interest during battle, up to a maximum of 5 gold interest, so it's best to save some gold for later plans.
Overall, the game is not difficult to operate, but the key to winning is how to organize your lineup and maximize your economy, using different methods to defeat the enemy. Although this game is different from online multiplayer auto-chess games, where the enemy is pre-set, I will design more difficulty levels and different types of enemy lineups in the future, and defeating them will earn you various rewards.
That's the main gameplay of "XPBattle". Of course, there are some interesting features I haven't mentioned, such as character CG, skill effects, and battle positioning, which I'll try to introduce in another posts. If you have any suggestions for the gameplay, feel free to leave a message on Patreon or Discord, and I hope to work together to create a fun game.
