Yes it's hard to kill someone in every time period. Armor was nearly always superior to their weapon equals in medival Europe.

2024-10-17 17:50:03 +0000 UTCI find the mail and 12th century sword combat even more puzzling than plate and longsword/pollax, because I was told that the earlier arming swods were not meant for thrusting (weaker quality of steel), so the plan was already to get the opponent on the ground and finish him with a dagger, or target the parts without chainmail?
