Come Join Me with Manexpeditions on a trip to South Africa Help Save Rhinos

This May I'll be joining Man Expedition's Rhino Rescue trip to South Africa to actively take part in conservation efforts to save rhinos from poachers.  What they do is seek out a rhino, help a veterinary team to safely remove its horn (so that the Rhino will no longer be a target to ivory poachers), and then track it to make sure it heals properly.

Man Expedition is a gay adventure travel club for men supporting wildlife.  Each of their trips actively take part and help support/fund various conservation efforts.

Ivory poaching is even much more horrible than I thought.  Since rhinos can be difficult to kill, poachers just will shoot at a rhino until it collapses.  The poor animal is then usually still alive while they hack at it's face with knife or ax to get it's horn.  The rhino is then left there to just bleed to death.

If that's not bad enough, then then poison the rhino meat.   Vultures will usually circle the dying animal, signalling to the Park Rangers that something is awry.  To buy themselves more time to get away, the poachers actually poison the rhino meat to kill or repel the vultures.  Then anything else that would then eats the rhino meat (hyena's etc.) also die--causing a full chain of death all just to get one horn.

I've always wants to go to South Africa and get to see these animals in the wild--but this trip really sounded really special it that it allows you to actively take part in conservation efforts to help save the species from extinction.  There are so few rhinos left that saving even one makes a big impact.

Plus this will be with a group of like-minded gay men.   There is space for about up to 13 guys and will be from May 13-18th.  Follow the above link for more information and find out how you can join me on the trip or donate to the cause.  Or share my link with anyone you know who might be interested in a trip like this.
