SL: Map of Systemic Lands - Day 5,074

EDIT: Map updated 11/14, with additional level 5 zones. Thank you for the catch. :)

Empire of Purgatory
Primary Combatant: Emperor Michael
Primary Combatant Level: High 7/Low 8
Leader: Supreme Governor Clarissa
Capital: Purgatory
Government: Benevolent Dictatorship
Cities: 20
Flag: Eight Black Dots on a White Background
Military Strength: Emperor Michael
Economic Strength: Half of Everything and then some
Research: Quite a Bit
Notes: Managed by Supreme Governor Clarissa, Emperor Michael is the military driving force behind the empire and the pillar of stability. Having claimed the entire East of the Systemic Lands they have recently taken New Kochi. No other nation can threaten them. They are now preparing to push their excess population into the cities that have been freed by the monster.

The Leader's Domain
Primary Combatant: The Leader Hamid
Combatant Level: Mid 5
Leader: The Leader Hamid
Capital: Mecca
Government: Military Dictatorship
Cities: 3
Flag: Three White Stars On a Black Background
Military Strength: 1st of 6
Economic Strength: 1st of 6
Research: 4th of 6
Notes: The Leader is a cautious man who has seen great highs and lows and has developed a turtle personality. With only one clear land point for other nations to arrive, his isolationist tendencies play to his nations' strengths. By controlling three cities, his power and economy are the greatest of all other nations except Purgatory.

The One
Primary Combatant: Military Council x5
Combatant Level:  High 4
Leader: Military Council
Capital: Kuzimu
Government:  Military Council
Cities: 2
Flag:  Gold Crescent and Star on a White Background
Military Strength: 5th of 6
Economic Strength: 4th of 6
Research: 5th of 6
Notes: A theoretic nation constantly at war with the Kingdom of Graystone over disputed zones. This ongoing conflict has dragged on and only the support of the Empire of the Nile has kept them in the fight.

Empire of the Nile
Primary Combatant: Military Council x5
Combatant Level: High 4
Leader: Emperor
Capital: Cairo
Government:  Military Dictatorship
Cities: 2
Flag:  A Blue X on a Brown Background
Military Strength: 4th of 6
Economic Strength: 3rd of 6
Research: 6th of 6
Notes: A military dictatorship that has a place holder Emperor as a manager. Their nation focuses more on building up their economic and cultural might, with the hopes of subsuming The One. Only the fear of losing out to the Kingdom of Graystone has prevented them from attempting an annexation.

Indian Sultanate
Primary Combatant: The Sword of Ascalon?
Combatant Level: ???
Leader: Sultans (Rulership Council)
Capital: Meech
Government: Oligarchy
Cities: 1
Flag:  A Sword on a Red Background
Military Strength:  6th of 6 ???
Economic Strength:  6th of 6
Research:  1st of 6
Notes: It is the weakest of all the remaining nations, the rulers having retreated into a small portion of their capital city to maintain control of the store. However, their existence remains due to the threat and the power of the Sword of Ascalon, which has only fallen into the hands of Indians. Its power is immense, immense enough that it consumes the person using it. Their hidden knowledge of the sword provides great insight into the use of meta-points.

Kingdom of Graystone
Primary Combatant: Queen Graystone
Combatant Level: Mid 5
Leader: Queen Graystone
Capital:  Graystone
Government: Hereditary Monarchy
Cities: 1
Flag: A Gold Crown with a Gray Background
Military Strength: 2nd of 6th
Economic Strength: 5th of 6th
Research: 2nd of 6th
Notes: All power is concentrated into Queen Graystone and her heir. She forces war and the conquest of other zones to hold the opposing nations on her boarders in check and deal with her more militant minded people in her nation. A heavy focus on symbology, offers quite a bit of insight into energy techniques, which she hopes to leverage to sweep her opposition in the future.

Holy Kingdom of God
Primary Combatant: Paladins of God x10
Combatant Level: High 4
Leader: The Blessed Pope
Capital:  West Madrid
Government: Absolute Theocracy
Cities: 2
Flag: A brown Cross in front of a sun on a white background
Military Strength: 3
Economic Strength: 2
Research: 3
Notes: This nation views the fight against other nations and monsters as a holy war. Anyone who does not agree is purged. New arrivals are quickly indoctrinated or purged. This is a nation that has built themselves on absolute fanaticism. While the Blessed Pope has limited personal power, the ten paladins form the militant wing of the nation and are its backbone.

Comments

Well eveything is discutable :) But i say Na :) They can use the com system (rod and etc), have airship circle or etc for drop message (so the cut off is not much and they are way and the empire system will not go down so fast), still better that the Billions of Billions of points throw at Purgatory who is just soooooo close to the problem and so had a real good chance to go down and real wiped out (and had all ressource and facility and people who are into the city who can't be used now and was needed to abandon in very very short order/time) Sure if the problem extend it doesn't change much :) (like now) but was still better that keeping purgatory as capital at first choice (and keep it long term and close to a existential threat (one they know and the only one know at the moment and for long term) for sentimental reason or etc when they just winned vs the Divine Empress (East Bastion or a city more into the west part of their region was 'better' than purgatory)

Zarik0

Hey if East Bastion was the capital, it could very well be cut off from the rest of the empire by some unexplained anomaly. Who would have thought ;)

Jeremy

Good points But they are not so much transportation and logistics anyway between city (not like East Bastion can't have the link and road needed for that...) (Purgatory place in this aspect was only helping them for a very short term when they rebuild), but they have total control and etc so at some point the Capital is 'just' to have a big ass fortress and a safe one (vs big big threat) when Clarissa can lead all things (and they can put thing needed to be protected and controlled)(the real advantage of the capital (fortified and controling/projeting power out of a secure base) become really that at some point, the more easy 'link' 'road' become a little gain) East Bastion give a lots of good aspects like that With chock point and etc (very easy to control traffic and movement of people or etc and first defense line/warning) Well its minuscule difference and its discutable between the two, still personnaly with long term view (as they suspect they get very long lifespam or even immortality) i think that chossing East Bastion at this time was better and logical in term of possible catastrophe/threat to it (who can erase or do so much damage to it) (even kill Clarissa) They have a bomb waiting to explode just close to the city with this outside system flesh area.....

Zarik0

Man you right a lot, lol. The New Dalhi/New Dahka crossing might not work because of the level 4 zone that needs to be crossed to reach the NW portion of the Empire, but who knows. Also, having the capital in East Bastion would make Clarissa’s job significantly harder when dealing with transportation and logistics. If anything, it would be better if the capital was shifted westwards to be in a more centralized point on the empire and the systemic lands as a whole.

Jeremy

With the map i really wonder if it was not better to make the bridge at New Delhi/New Dahka instead of The Abyss/New Kochi Oh well both seem to have advantage/desadvantage, New Kochi seem better to get a more isolated base vs the incoming bloodbath But New Delhi/New Dahka in the future can be a point some people can use to go into Purgatory Empire to sniffe around or do stuff (trade, smuggling or etc) when the map will become more know (some observe team of Purgatory about this point can be a good thing to put in place some years in the future when some people can traverse or etc Also seeing the map i guess they will build road untill the point just beside the void area where the void area is only 1 zone separing the region, and build a outpost here on both side, so as the Airship only need to move 1 zone to move people between the two region They seem to be a lot of 7 zone and some 8 only in the South east? (or others are also like that but MC will never explore their side so its not show? Well seem something will happen here anyway or its here where MC will have is arc into this level Also only 2 zone level 9 (Boss level 10?) 40 Tower in total And one of the Tower is Claimed by Ascalon (wonder if its here it hide) But like i said in a previous comment its how you can fuck the sword in the end, the Tower she claimed, if you go here you get the position she is at all time So i guess when MC will suffer the Sword, the solution they will find is to discover this claimed tower, giving the position at all time of the sword so as to hunt it down finnaly Hmm rethinking things, after Purgatory get deleted and they winned the war with the Divine Empress, i think it was a bit stupid to rebuild their capital in Purgatory So close to the big random flesh zone done by something outside the System and a thing he just confined, not deleted, so extra dangerous and a offcourse a land mine waiting to explode no matter what at some point in the future = possible trouble or etc like the Catastrophe happenning (or when they will poke at it some problem will come) and so close to Purgatory that its possible Purgatory (and all money put into it) get deleted again East Bastion seem better in multiple way in hindsight for Clarissa and etc (also to hold a big ennemy coming to it) Would be interesting to count the level 3 zone and level 4 in the two region and compare (but i don't wanna xD), seem to me maybe they have very slighty a bit more level 3 zone (and maybe 4?)

Zarik0

Totally going to be that alien species in to the southeast in about two volumes.

Jeremy

Man I’m actually loving this map more than the chapter. I spent like an hour just going over every detail.
