Important: Please Read

Hey, everyone, sorry for the dramatic header, but I feel like a post of this magnitude warrants it. Or, at least, what I want to announce does.

First and foremost, for smaller news, I've got my move date set for September 1st, so, yay!

Secondly and more importantly, I've been putting a lot of thought into Patreon as a whole for a while now. As in, there are a lot of things that have gone on behind the scenes that have gradually soured me on the platform. Additionally, I've had numerous page-specific issues which largely go unresolved. I won't lie when I say more than once, I've contemplated leaving the platform altogether and moving elsewhere.

These reasons are numerous and some are personal, so I'm not diving into specifics.

That said, I don't want to abandon the community that's active here. And I don't really want to give up on the platform fully, either, even taking my many issues into account. So, I've settled on a compromise.

Starting September, this page will be unpublished and I'll be opening a new one to start fresh and see if some of my issues improve.

For anyone who doesn't want to follow me to a new page, I fully understand and respect your decision. I know this is probably sudden and confusing. Even if you choose to leave, I want to thank all of you for all the support you've given me.

What does this mean for now? Well, not much. The rest of July and August should be largely unaffected (aside from anything impacted by the move). So, anyone who doesn't want to do anything doesn't need to until September.

Sorry for the wall of text, and thank you all for your support once again during a rather hectic time in my life.

When I create my new page, I'll let you all know with a public post, and anyone who would like to support it can do so.

tl;dr I'm not leaving Patreon, just moving to a new page in September.
