Things I like - September Edition
Added 2025-09-08 16:55:01 +0000 UTCHEY. trying something a little new here. for me, September is all about change and challenge and new beginnings. it's like January's sister, really. Aw... That's a sweet thought actually. I wonder what other months are siblings. Probably June and July. They're sisters and they fight, but, whether they realize it or not, it's only because they really love each other.
ANYWAY, I wanted to give you some recommendations for September. Books, TV, music, habits, things I really liked that help keep me moving forward, in the chance that maybe they'll help you get through this Summer-to-Fall transition period, too! And maybe even make January a little jealous...
Lmk if you like this kind of thing, and of course, if you indulge in any of these recommendations, I'd love to hear what you think!!! Ok. Stay Cool. Stay Curious. Stay-cation.

I was a massive fan of the NYT games (I still do the Sudoku) but I couldn't get over some of the stuff on the news side of things so I stopped my sub, but they genuinely do have great games and I hear the new one is pretty good too! As for journaling, YES YES YES, it really helps me stay on the rails and reflect on things more easily which is great especially when life moves fast. I was making a huge list of my recommendations which was silly, so just mentioning things I watched recently: - Murderbot (fun & light sci-fi TV show) - Foundation (hard sci-fi TV show) - Andor (Star Wars TV show but stands on its own as just an amazing show) - Dexter: Resurrection (TV show, best Dexter season ever with great acting, but its a sequel so its hard to just jump in) - KPop Demon Hunters (Yeah whatever its just a good movie who cares if its the hype, surely nobody here is a contrarian) - Sketch (Kids adventure movie (but maybe too scary for actual kids) with heart that has Tony Hale from Veep/Arrested Development and D'Arcy Carden from The Good Place)
