Jihoon is *fantastic* in it, and he also has yet another massively compelling relationship with his male co-star (I gather there was a canon queer element in the manhwa which was removed for the drama - though possibly not tween them? - and the female lead was created just for the drama and imo it kinda shows because the romance is waaaaaay less interesting/complex/emotional than the 'friendship'). It's definitely flawed, but absolutely worth watching for his performance and for the beautiful dynamic tween the male leads. Hyunwook looks so young in the Sunmi show! His little cheeks indeed - I think one of the moments from WHC1 that always gets to me the most is in the finale when Sieun apologises to Suho in his dream, and Suho says sorry back and then smiles, and it's such a little boy smile, so sweet and innocent, with those cheeks - it breaks my heart every time. It's crazy how pre-WHC, Hyunwook had already shared the screen with literally every main cast member of S2! He's like the new Kevin Bacon.

2025-05-23 20:50:33 +0000 UTCthe deeper you dive into the jihoon/hyunwook lore the more insane it gets....I think it speaks volumes that both of them, even though they're both such notable actors with different roles, talk about sieun and suho respectively as making the most impact on their lives/their favourite characters. my crack theory is that they were so deeply invested in their characters that even still they have a piece of them (aka character bleed), so even when jihoon sees hyunwook obviously walking around and being some dude, he still sees suho in a hospital bed....Crazy.
