2025-02-26 02:33:20 +0000 UTC...putting off watching because then I'll have to wait another interminably long week for the next ep, so in the meantime does anyone know which stream it was y'all watched the trailer in? If I watch that first I'll make the whole experience last a little longer! Edit: I couldn't resist. Ahhhhhhh I adore this show so much and I'm so happy you enjoyed the first ep! There was a lot of wicked giggling my end when you talked about your predictions, especially re. whether or not show keeps Yohan opaque and emotionless...I can't wait for you to watch the rest! The HR nightmare scene is really...yeah. Really something - the eye contact, the caressing, the intrusive questions...that was when I knew I was in love. In case you didn't know, the setting was indeed inspired by COVID as the drama was actually filmed during the pandemic. Jisung (who plays Yohan and who turns 48 tomorrow if that helps with your family tree theories??) is a Big Name in South Korean entertainment - he's a very respected actor. And he definitely knows what he's doing with the *vibes* (there's a photoshoot BTS you must watch but they give a little something away so best to save it for a couple eps time - all you need to know is that when the photographers are directing Jinyoung to get closer, Jisung literally says 'As if you're about to kiss me'!). I just finished my own rewatch in preparation for this rewatch (that's how obsessed I am), and even now I still spot new things that Jisung does with his face/microexpressions that blow me away - you can't even blink when he's onscreen lest you miss something! The whole trial verdict sequence still gives me chills after all this time - the track that accompanies it is my fave from the OST and though it's only used twice I think across the whole series, the impact is unforgettable. I'm honestly so grateful to everyone who voted for DJ and especially to you for signing up for 16 ridiculously deliciously long eps of machinations and manipulations and homoeroticism - I really needed something to keep me going/look forward to at the mo, and this will do the trick and then some! Sorry for the incoming sentimentality, but this show genuinely holds a very special place in my heart because it was one of the first things that made me feel something again after my father died - I shut everything off for a while, and even though I watched/read/listened to stuff, it was basically all white noise, but then DJ came along and thawed me out a little, and, objective excellence aside, I think that's partly why I keep coming back to it and why it still brings me so much joy, especially when sharing it with other ppl. So yes, thank you all and bring on eps 2-16!
