Royal Road

So, friends and amazing patrons, if you read The Last Prayer on Royal Road, you'll find that it's no longer there. Someone didn't like the ages of the cartoon characters and informed the moderators. So they deleted the story. The Last Prayer is still on FFNet and Ao3 if you want to continue reading it.

Hello to all you amazing people with hearts of gold. First, I am still writing. The current chapter of The Last Prayer is at 8k words. That's not a lot, but there's a reason, which is why I'm writing this little PSA.

Life stuff is still the same; work, family, friends, working out, the usual.

The delay is with the story. I admit, I hit a road block with TLP. I knew what I wanted to write, but none of it seemed good enough. This story is getting closer to the end. Let's face it, Na...

So, I have a very good job that I'm putting a lot of time and effort in. It hasn't left much room for writing. So, sadly, that means the next update will be delayed. I expect things to slow down soon and then I'll be able to write again. I still have my notebook so I'll write down ideas when I can. My apologies.

Well, today has been much more fun than I anticipated. Guys I want to thank you all for supporting me when you didn't have to, through my ups and downs, in sickness and in health. Merry Christmas!

I wish I had an update ready for today. Sadly, I'm 6K into the next update for The Last Prayer. It still needs more so it'll be a few weeks. A Deathly Contract is easier since the outline for the story is already written out. From Ruin is still kicking my ass. I'm reading old ff favorites of mine to try and get inspired and it only made me think of new stories to write, so it's still going to take some time I guess.

New Harry Potter Fanfic

I know what you're thinking. Not only have I not finished The Last Prayer, but I'm also stuck on From Ruin. Why would I start another fic? The answer to that is the entire outline to this new HP ff is already done. 
It's not a simple outline either. My outlines generally have dialogue and a bit of action written and this outline totaled out to 30 chapters and 86 thousand words. Each chapter only needs a few re-reads to polish up the flow of it. So unlike The Last Prayer and From Ruin,...

No Excuses!!

So I just posted the latest chapter but I wanted to share a bit more of why it took so long to write. I caught Covid, had to be admitted into the hospital, lost my job, and when I was released, my girlfriend and I broke up before losing the apartment. It's been a hellish couple of months. Novel Number Two!

This novel, called Old Hand Steel, took 2+ years to write. Not necessarily because it was a complicated story, but because I only wrote a little bit each day. This was the warm-up story before I would write either From Ruin or The Last Prayer. I just finished the final draft and I'll be working on a moderately decent cover art.

I want to come clean about my situation. I need to take care of myself. After I lost my job, I should've looked for another(of a similar position) harder than I had. Chapter 24 delay.

For those following my fic, The Last Prayer, I was nearly ready to update tomorrow when the program crashed on me, and when I reopened the file, all the words were converted into the # sign. 17.5K words.... gone. I feel dead. 

So it's going to take me another two weeks or so to rewrite that.... I feel so gutted.
