Usually I post the sketch first as I'm working on the final pieces but I held off for two reasons, the first being I just got so laser-focused that the final picture already got done pretty quickly.
The second was because surprise! Rather than using the extra effort in designing a background or additional characters for the winner's images, I thought it would be fun to instead use it to do two different versions, with both the X/Y and ZA versions of Hex. I held off on providing updates until I was confident I'd be able to deliver on this because I wasn't sure I was going to commit, but I feel capable now.
