They couldn't even give us a full ep of happiness 😭 haven't Jack, Joke the Suphanimit gang suffered enough.. (Sorry for the incoming essay but I just love this show and feel passionately about its themes 😂) What I really do appreciate about this show is how complex each character and their decisions are. Particularly the portrayal of class disparity, and the impacts of poverty (due to the rich taking advantage of the poor) on humans. The people in the Suphanimit community are led to do things against their morals/values or seen as 'ethically grey', just so they can live another day and protect themselves/their family, and gain some sense of control in a society they have no control of. This disparity was also seen with Rosé and her interactions with Jack. Her naivety due to growing up rich, and Jack's great dialogue to her in the previous eps about the kids in Suphanimit not being able to pursue their dreams because they're just trying to survive with the lack of opportunities they are given. Even with the case of Save, who I disliked the most cause of his involvement with Grandma ending up in hospital, but as Hope said he's also in the same situation as everyone else, and is just trying to save (heh) himself and his bf. Although I don't blame Jack one bit for his anger towards them. It's overall really complicated but definitely relevant to the issues facing society today and I very much appreciate YinWar and the Jack & Joker team for shining a light on this and delivering that message. It is quite a thought provoking show which deals with the impacts of a lot of societal issues (don't even get me started on its portrayal of broken families/parenting and its impact on a child, through Joke) and I think it balances it well with the comedy and romance. Thank you for the amazing reaction as always Freddie! ❤️
