I’m just as patiently waiting as all of you for this set of photos that I took with Dirk Odendaal, who is one of my favourite photographers!

This shoot was the last time I wore my favourite pearl necklace, which has since gone missing 😡

Once we get the images, I’ll have to make a beautiful memorial post for it 🤣

Glamour

The intention of this shoot was not to shoot art nudes. I was wearing full makeup and had my nails done - so was obviously prepped for some fashion.

It created quite a cool contrast though! ❤️

Documenting ink

So yesterday I decided, during my first shoot in some time, that I need to shoot a progress photo of my back piece for you guys!

Next session is in September. Should I shoot more of the piece in its current state? 🤔

Cat play

A bit of a throwback shoot to when I first discovered that you can commission companies to make you animal ears. Naturally, I had to get myself some cat ears ASAP. 🤣

Buy myself flowers

A fun laidback shoot I did with Lance Daniels, where my posing was inspired by Miley Cyrus in her “I can buy myself flowers” song. ☺️

A lot of my posing and characterisation in shoots is inspired by media that I internalise without even realising. 😳

Morning everyone!

I thought it would be exciting to share with you all the progress of my next cosplay!

This is going to be a large project. I’ve comissioned the gun of the character to be 3D printed, and will be making the rest by hand. So far, I’m struggling to hand sew a bodysuit 😂

Venus De Milo

Sometimes the most unnatural and usual poses can create the most interesting image. I love this pose from a shoot I did while at the Barrydale film festival. It is so feminine yet strong. It feels like I’m a statue… which I love! 🤍

Apples please

A little-red riding hood cosplay that I did some time ago. The idea would be to create boudoir fairytale characters. This was the first and only character I’ve applied this concept to. ☺️

Radiance

A couple shots from the editorial that I did a short while back. This shoot was a bucket list shoot for both myself and the photographer.

We sat on the beach and applied these stickers (in the Cape Town wind, no less). We gathered a bit of an audience while shooting as well. 😂

A memorial

This is a bit of a somber post.

I met Zayne (middle) once - at this shoot. We spoke a couple times after that over WhatsApp and then she suddenly left the modelling sphere and I lost contact with her. She was a beautiful soul. She had such a zest for life, and was so positive and jolly. She made me feel so comfortable, and had the most joyful, warm smile.

I found out this week that she passed away suddenly, taking everyone by surprise. It did hit me quite hard, because a person ...

Happy Friday everyone!

I hope you have had a good week. My week was quite stressful - my manager took a week of sick leave and my other colleague is on maternity leave. I thus had three jobs to watch, and had pre-booked leave for Thursday for my tattoo… soooo today is going to be wild. 🤣

An update

An update on my backpiece for you all. We are about 40% done - I’ll most likely need about 8 more hours of work. But I’m done for a short while now - next session is booked for September, but we could find a slot before then, if it opens up. 🌸

The tape on my hair is so that it doesn’t blow all around, just so you aren’t confused and think I wear tape as a fashion statement 🤣

Expressions of freedom

This shot was taken on a pretty busy rocky beach around Clifton, before morning hustle and bustle began. It can be so liberating to just bare all in a popular spot.
