February - March 2025 Art Roundup
Added 2025-03-09 20:21:58 +0000 UTCRoundup of the stuff posted between the second half of February and March so far. A bit of a slow batch due to some car troubles and workplace stress getting in the way, but I've got some good stuff in the works regarding the Patreon poll stuff.
Sophia from Persona 5 Strikers a bit too big for Joker's phone screen. I initially did this as a test since I liked the idea of having a drawing that doubles as a lock screen a lot, even if you'll never catch me in broad daylight with a lock screen like this.
A pair of Metaphor boys, Will and Louis, in different scenarios. I still have plans to do stuff with the remaining girls from the game but those have been slow to make progress on.
An anonymous commission of a very big Toriumi from Persona 3, inspired by an old Takemi pic I had done in 2022.
A couple of blueberry Ashleys I had been sitting on for a bit. Even though there's a lot I like about REmake 4 Ashley, I keep finding myself going back to the original, possibly due to nostalgic reasons.
An old comm of Mitsuru from Persona 3 mid-blueberrification. Maybe the Aigis tease is something I'll follow up on in the future, but there's still a lot of ideas and characters I haven't managed to tap into yet.

I told a buddy, ‘It has the best Mercenaries mode I’ve played, but RE should be more than an arcade game.’ I don’t even think that’s a harsh critique or anything. It’s still a really solid game, but despite its efforts and even its marginal victories, it cannot escape the original’s shadow for me.

2025-03-09 20:31:27 +0000 UTCYeah I'm kind of in a similar boat. The gameplay is fantastic but the characters feel a bit weaker, especially Saddler and Salazar. I know people disliked OG Ashley for being annoying and bratty but I think that helped endear me to her

2025-03-09 20:31:19 +0000 UTCI also prefer RE4riginal tbh. Something about how Ashley’s characterization is much more charming to me. The remake has GREAT gameplay but the characters kinda feel… sanitized? Wonderful art as always :)
