2024-11-03 10:57:13 +0000 UTChihi i know im late to this but as a resident luvity, cravity really aren't as popular as people think they are, especially in korea. many people anticipated their debut, and a lot of people expected something bright and cute because of the visuals of the group. many people seemed disappointed with most of their first title tracks (break all the rules, flame, my turn) because of that fact. in fact, a bside on their first album sold much better than their debut song in korea, with many people forgetting them after their first two comebacks. they very frequently got lost in the sea of boygroups, with people saying they lacked wow factor, and that their sound is too 'boy-group' friendly. they have gotten more popularity now, but even so their most viral moments happen on tiktok, with many people enjoying their variety stuff and dynamics between each other but never really checking out their music. i do blame some of this on starships management as promotions for title tracks were never great, and even bsides were put out there more. they tried to follow the noise trend of the time during their first couple of years and failed to let them shine. they are a really bubbly, funny group and their personality shines so much more in brighter, softer concepts imo.
