ROBERT REDFORD POLL

I know, I know, I know - we're like 3 months late for this one BUT we're here!

also let me give you a rundown of November - because I'm already looking for JingleBeans movies!

WEDNESDAYS in November have NOT be voted on yet- BUT I would bet on Buffy season 7 winning. I'm hoping it does tbh

Nov. 3: First Wives Club
Nov. 7: Final Destination 2

Nov. 10: Veterans Day winner Full Metal Jacket
Nov. 14: Final Destination 3
Nov. 15: (this is really just for me but still want you to know about it!) 2026 planning meeting! What do YOU Want to see from me on the second channel? ANY and ALL ideas welcome!

Nov. 17: Cabin in the Woods ( because of Diane Keaton & Veterans Day this is a little late)
Nov. 21: Fianl Destination 4

Nov. 24: Robert Redford Poll
Nov. 28: Final Destination 5

MULTIPLE CHOICE!

Comments

Based on all you have said, I think the move "Three Days of the Condor" is the best bet. It is a thriller, a spy move & a love story with a Great Cast. I saw this about a year after it came out in a small town movie theatre with about 20 of my Fraternity brothers. Keep it on your must see list. I know you will enjoy it. I am sad it did not make the list above, but I am hopeful you will ultimately view it. All of the other choices are Good. Advisory: You must see "All the Presidents Men" before you see "The Post" and a myriad of other great movies. ["The Way We Were" was my late wife's favorite movie and "The Sting" was my father's favorite movie.. I second the suggestion that "An Unfinished Life "is a extremely worthwhile movie, yet not well known. and it did not make the voting list either.

Jeffrey

Barefoot in the Park is so good.

Wendy Smith

How do you choose the pot to pick from such a huge filmography?! Go girl! Most people are right that there's a good chance you'll like Butch Cassidy or The Sting BUT you still have to watch "The Way We Were" someday also, Barefoot in the Park 1967 is a young beautiful Robert Redford and Jane Fonda in a very well regarded movie.

Reppep

The Unfinished Life from 2005 with Morgan Freeman and Jennifer Lopez was always my favorite Redford movie. His version of Gatsby is good too.

CRockey12

So many good movies on this list and mentioned by others! Wow! I didn’t know how many movies I’ve seen with Redford in it.

Sunlit_Soul

You could always do an Actor franchise like you do the directors movies.

Sunlit_Soul

I don't think he was well known enough as a film actor to get an acknowledgement here. Outisde of Fantastic Four, he was mostly a TV guy. But I wouldn't mind seeing Bait 3D on the channel lol

JC

Longer than 3 months since Julian McMahon passed away. Still waiting for at least a acknowledgement.

Alaskan Two Spirit Wolf

You should watch 'Freddy vs. Jason' sometime. It's not scary in the slightest but so much fun and really delivers on its title. If you do but can't be asked watching all the movies leading up to it then I'd just focus on 'Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare', 'Jason Lives' (just cuz it's the best Friday the 13th and gives you a nice refresher on what Jason's all about) and 'Jason Goes to Hell'. 'Freddy vs. Jason' is a direct continuation from 'Freddy's Dead' and 'Jason Goes to Hell' so you can disregard 'New Nightmare' and 'Jason X'

A couple of his best movies missing here is The Natural (Good Baseball movie with a glorious soundtrack) and The Great Waldo Pepper (a period piece about the early days of aviation and the barnstormers). Robert Redford played in a whole host of movies and was an excellent actor.

Stephen Koehler

YES to Rankin-Bass specials!

Kimberly

Well, guess I'm behind on my Robert Redford movies! :( None of these look familiar. I think the only one of his I've seen is Sneakers and you've already seen that one! Nope.. looked it up.. he was in Captain America and the Winter Soldier and Indecent Proposal, but neither were starring roles. Jingle Beans recs: The Family Stone (you've seen this one recommended on other posts, it's that good!) The Christmas Chronicles 1 & 2 (these are newer - 2018 & 2020) Santa Claus: The Movie (1985) Emmett Otter's Jug-band Christmas (1977 - Jim Henson so yes!! It's puppets! Keep in mind that it's only 48 minutes so it'll make for a shorter video) The Holiday (2006) Little Women (1994 - this is the OG it was remade a few years ago and it isn't as good) THEN.. if you wanted to do a "director's series" for Fridays, you could do the Rankin Bass movies - Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, The Year Without Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, Twas the Night Before Christmas... And there's many more.. most of these are short because they were TV Specials, but maybe you could combine a few? Or if it doesn't work for your format, that's ok too.
