As others have said, yeah, this is basically entirely fictional (as I'm sure you could have surmised). It was NOT Daniel Radcliffe singing, though he actually CAN sing (he just won a Tony Award last year for his performance in the musical Merrily We Roll Along). He sang along to the songs on set, but they used Al's actual vocals in the movie. I forgot Lin Manuel Miranda was in this. He's talked about how, growing up, Weird Al was one of his heroes, and there's a really cool video (it's on YouTube) that Lin's wife took of him listening to Weird Al's Hamilton Polka for the first time and the absolute delight on his face is fantastic.
