2026-01-22 20:13:03 +0000 UTCI just want to point out some of Oguri facts usually got messed up with another horse name "Haiseiko", while Oguri did made the horse racing more popular in the 80s but the first one to do it was Haiseiko, a horse from the 70s (and an uma NPC in the game), who was the first idol horse that brought more people to the racetrack and the reason we have horse plushies and merchandises. People called Haiseiko as "the first boom" of horse racing, an era that gave us oldbies like Rudolf, Maruzen, CB, Ace... while Oguri was "the second boom". This is frankly unsurprising as it was composed by none other than Kenji Kawai, the guy behind the soundtracks for series like Ghost in the Shell (1995) and Mob Psycho 100.
