our vigorous but weary citizen of hell town wakes up to another day in their broken down flat, headed off to work their daily job of endlessly digging holes in the wastelands under a perpetual dusk...
...taking a break over 60 seconds results in terrible punishment in the evening, but after relieving themselves, they couldn't help but start stroking their front tail which inevitably ends up in a very satisfying extended break...so satisfying that it's worth the punishment.
no bother, though, they'll be able to take a break from this place soon enough!

and the job of endlessly digging holes in a wasteland seemed like something that fits hell - it's from the book "Holes" and that just popped into my head as i was thinking
