EARLY ACCESS: O Brother Where Art Thou

It's a great, suspenseful film. "The Scene" is heart-wrenching, and very well acted. Be "brave". It's absolutely worth watching.

I haven't been "brave" enough to watch Deliverance but I've heard enough references to guess that it's probbbbbablyyy NOT "about banjos". I cracked up at that, too. I just love Ashleigh. LOL

Arsenic and old lace starring Carey grant is a must see movie. It’s hilariously dark and whoever requested it I love you. Becuase this is one of my favorite movies. Can’t wait for may.

I enjoy Dazed and Confused (though I question how much Ashleigh will). My disappointment is it's yet another poll where people voted in a movie that I'd argue doesn't really fit the theme she was asking for. Before people say "yeah, she put it on the poll", she hasn't seen it and therefore doesn't know for sure whether it really fits the theme.

My favorite part is when Odysseus comes home, and has that bloody face-off with the suitors. I always like Telemachos, but a Greek friend tells me that he's generally viewed as a bad character, because he didn't protect his father's house. Speaking of Homer, I wonder if anyone would do a movie of the Illiad today? Given that Odysseus cross-dresses to try to get out of the Trojan War.

I absolutely love this movie. The music, the acting, the Dustbowl-era setting, the Cohen Brother’ humor, it has everything I want. It also started a bit of a bluegrass music revival around the time.
