This episode suffered many modifications in the "script" stage, this was sketched up among the very first ones, and lot of time passed until the end of the story, due my choices there, I had to modify a few of these episodes, so I added up a few scenes that weren't originally considered.
this page was one of those, I realized that I needed to make Orozco's talk with Laura a little longer, give the feeling that Orozco is also getting confused, and wondering what's what.
Laura isn't exactly her daugther, but Laura has lots of things of her, voice, similar personalty... but she's never going to be the same, she's a xeno with specific design traits based off her original daughter, even with the effort Laura's father did, maybe Laura won't ever be the same as the original Laura. but does current Laura deserve to live, too? maybe she's really a second chance... but what can you do now, when you already sold your soul to the devil, Orozco's regret aren't going to fix anything now.
it was a nice chance to include this scene, which if you read between-lines with the traumatic dream Laura has about a cat outside the window, you can think that maybe Laura decided to go out, feel the rain someday and this caused people to see her or something similar... which lead to her being captured, and her father too.
Orozco cut ties with him, but she didn't said anything to the Consortium, or was any part of this, she was hurt, but didn't wanted the guy to die and get in prison... now we can realize, she's curious, might miss the guy even.
