the first panel, I wanted to be simple, idk, like just a silhouette, to make it easier to understand. considering later Alpha is biting Daniel's arm with all his strength, also, pressing his claws against him.
I don't thing it would be easy to dodge a xeno's attack like this, considering a normal cat already moves fast and can do lots of damage even being small... this I guess would be like being bitten by a puma? I don't think Alpha was also trying to REALLY hurt him, I mean, he could have got to his neck... so, he wasn't biting with all of his damage possibilities, probably a mix between being angry and frustrated, to make him go away? I just imagined when I bring my cat to the vet and she's scared of getting a shot.
still... this moment might be decisive in the story, specially to push Alpha out of his "current" status in the story and with the Consortium.
don't be mistaken, Alpha realized what he did, part of because he loves Daniel in a way, I mean, he's "the good scientist" and his master... but he's just out of control, confused, acting strange, probably under panic, making him act without thinking.
this is also part of Daniel's journey with the xenos, he cares about them... but he doesn't see them fully as humans? I think he might just see them as pets, and realizing they're still animals, and dangerous might cause him to think a little different respect of Alpha or Ivory? I mean... who knows.
