Derideal 12 - 2+3 + blog
Added 2023-02-06 14:58:39 +0000 UTCI decided to include two pages in this update, because technically, page 1 and 2 of this episode were "fixes" I included to, in a way, justify the black and white +color accent the next part of Derideal will have now... I asked around and several people said it would be less shocking if I somehow managed to make the style change as something related to the story.
I thought for a while and I realized that when you're very depressed, you stop feeling joy, time pass differently and in general, you could say "life lost all color" in a sense, that's why I decided to explain it as a "mood change" for Alpha.
it also brings some more question and enriches a little the story "in a way", as it makes you question... if he started caring for Ivory, why instead of feeling happier, he feels bad and even start having feelings he isn't sure where they come from.
being entirely honest, I sort of based this off on how I felt after a breakup and years later trying to fell in-love again... not sure if for everyone it's this difficult, but well, this is how I felt it.

I did a complete style change, even the way the drawing looks, they're now more "spontaneous" and gritty... and I also made Alpha grow more, as he's more older and a developed xeno, after teenager years

Also good job explaining why you are not coloring pages and fusing it with the story. Still, cant feel anymore sad for my boy adam. Oh my poor poor child.
