If he If if he hadn’t used a gun to settle his problems, he absolutely would have had a very good chance in a civil suit against his employer and one employee (Angelo). Had I been on the jury of his case I would certainly have awarded him damages. He in essence was dehumanized by their treatment of him. It was like all the progress made toward a society where everyone would be judged “by the content of their character and not by the color of his skin” simply vanished and this company was a microcosm of what the world would look like without it.
