2026-01-21 03:47:32 +0000 UTCI always think of Varang when I hear Victor Jones’s new song “…you could kill me if you want/it’d probably turn me on”

2026-01-17 09:58:32 +0000 UTCWith the Forest/Eywa’s magical powers being demonstrated as a parasitic fungus that inhabits the host, are Jake and Spider Na’Vi equivalent of Jedi? That feels akin to midi-chlorians (chosen ones having higher concentrations of them in their bodies. I don’t know how to score it, but Varang has certainly affected my score on the Kinsey scale.

2026-01-16 15:23:19 +0000 UTCEvery Wednesday feels like Christmas now! Excited to see what next week brings us. Movie rec for you all, “To Sleep So as to Dream”. It’s a Japanese silent movie from 1986 about the daughter of an aging silent film star whose daughter is kidnapped by and secreted inside of an old silent film. Super hilarious and weird. very anime adjacent.

2026-01-15 18:03:06 +0000 UTCI love the freedom of the DLC format so that y'all can talk about whatever. I saw Fire and Ash and enjoyed it, but that runtime was a lot. Now, after hearing this, I'm tempted to see it in the theater again. I blame Varang

2026-01-15 05:17:52 +0000 UTCOk my experience of this review: I now understand fully how people are radicalized online, because Wiger really is convincing me through just the sheer force of his personality that if I see this movie again I’ll think it’s a masterpiece. Thank god he uses his powers mostly for good (initially misspelled that as “food” and almost just let it ride), and not for like Q anon
