Chastity Devices: Steel or Plastic?

If you browse chastity pictures or watch videos, is there a type of device that turns you on a little bit more?
To me, there's an enormous difference between the two. The plastic devices (or those made from other materials that look like clear plastic) seem like more of a prison to me and offer less contact skin contact during a teasing session.
The steel devices are often like metal bars around the cock and can be better for teasing because they allow plenty of contact without allowing the cock to get hard.
I'm curious if you have a preference. Also, if you're in chastity (or you enjoy it from time to time), what sort of device do you use?
